Is Purina’s Beneful on the dog food recall list? The dry dog food.
No, but you can feed your dog better food.
Try Solid Gold, or Wellness. Basically Holistic foods. It really isn’t much more money and your dog will be healther.
Is there a recall on certain brands of dog food?
I was in Wal-Mart today, and a woman stopped me and told me that there is a recall on canned dog food made by a certain company. The company makes dog food for several brands including Wal-Mart’s Ol’ Roy brand.
Some Science Diet products are being recalled too, in this recall. No one is trying to slander a product. This is about saving lives which is why the companies themselves are participating in this recall! Here is where you can get a list of products which are largely wet products, like canned foods and pouches of cat foods.
Here is where you can look for products you might be using that are included in the recall which includes some name brand products by Science Diet (Hills), Iams and Eukanuba, Authority, Award, Nutro etc. The list for dog and cat products being recalled is found here:
currant dog food recall.should we be concerned about our own food supply?
I have fed my dogs dog treats for the last 3 years never washing my hands afterwards if these were tainted could it have affected my health? and whose to say our own food supply could be messed with?
Yup you very well could have picked up salmonella from the dog treats. They are regularly recalled, especially Pig’s ears. They say that if you are young or old, or have a compromised immune system you should avoid touching them entire. We just plain don’t give them to the dogs. Pig’s ears cause pancreas problems anyhow, so they are just a useless treat.
But yes our own food is also recalled all the time. Lots of times the FDA sends out a notice and I don’t see it on the news for a couple of weeks. 2 weeks time and people are still eating tainted food.. Look at the peanut butter, they said that problem had been ongoing since at least 2004 they figure..
