Do you really know what to do with your pet? Did you feed the pet an actual recalled food (check the UPC code or date with the web site). Talk with your vet. Make sure you really have fed the recalled food and be prepared to pay for blood work and uraniliysis.
My dog was having symptoms of renal failure after eating the recalled food (checked lot number). I stopped feeding him for a couple of days (he wasn’t hungry anyway. Gave him Pedialyte to drink instead of water. After a couple of days, he seems to be doing better.
Be sure to register you sick pet (from recall) at www.petconnection.com
Is my dog food safe (recalled)?
I buy President’s Choice 9kg dry dog food. Has it been recalled? If so, what are some safe brands or how do I mak my own? Thanks!
P.S. I’m asking because I’m almost out of food (I bought if WAY before the recall) and I need to know which one to get if my brand is recalled.
Note: I feed my dog chicken and rice…
Im not sure about your brand. Go to menufoods.com and they have the complete list of all the foods that were recalled. I asked my vet how to make my own food, and she recommended to boil plain white rice and bake plain chicken, cut it up … And feed it to your dog. My dog loved it, but it got to be a hassel. I continued to buy him the dry dog food that he has always eaten, Nutro’s Natural Choice Chicken and Rice. He loves that too. They make their own food, and it contains no wheat gluten (which caused the recall). You can visit their website about they recall. I think its nutroproducts.com? Im sure you can Yahoo it to find out. But anyways, I have been feeding it to him everyday since the recall, and he has been perfectly fine! I know that Nutro’s WET FOOD has been recalled. My dog was eating some of that before the recall, but I brought him to the vet to make sure everything was okay, and he was … I really recommend Nutro’s Natural Choice dog food if youre not sure about feeding your dog the one you are feeding now. Visit their website (the president’s choice) and Im sure they will have information for you. Also, you may want to check with your vet. Good luck
.. Also, Im just putting this out there .. NEVER feed your dogs IAMS .. They TORTURE dogs in their labs! .. Go to http://www.iamscruelty.com/ to find out more!! I will never buy iams!!
