Discussing Questions And Answers About Dog Food Reviews

Mary asks…

Is there a comparable hills rx kd cheaper dog food to buy?

I’ve heard mixed reviews on this dog food. It’s bad and the rx ones are good. I can’t afford 48.00 a bag dog food consistently. ofcourse i want the best for my dog, but the kids come first. does any one have suggestions?

Jimmy answers:

Hills’ Science Diet is… CRAP! Just because a vet recommends it, doesn’t mean it’s good.

Some good quality foods are :

Canidae $44 for a 40 pound bag

http://www.canidae.com/

Wellness – $28 for a 15 pound bag
Wellness CORE

http://www.wellnesspetfood.com/

Solid Gold

http://www.solidgoldhealth.com/

Taste of the Wild – $25 for a 15 pound bag

Innova
Eagle pack Holistic
Chicken Soup for the dog Lovers Soul
Orijen
EVO
Merrick $12 for a 5 pound bag
Blue Buffalo
Avoderm

Never get low quality foods like :

Cesar
Ol’ Roy
Purina
Pedigree
IAMS
Eukanuba
Science Diet
BilJac
Beneful
Purina Dog Chow
Alpo
Nutro
Dad’s
Royal Canin
Kibbles ‘n Bits
Mighty Dog
Or ANY grocery Store brand

For they all have, Corn,Soy, By-Products, Artificial Colorings/Flavors, and other crappy stuff.

This website should be able to help you on picking out a good quality food. Stick on the 4-5-6 star range.

Lizzie asks…

Is Royal Canin Labrador retriever junior 33 good dog food?

i live in india and i’m paying good money for it, i’ve read so many good reviews about dog foods like innova, solid gold etc but these brands are not available in my country. They say this is a premium brand and the best one available but i’d rather cook something at home if this food is not good.

Jimmy answers:

It’s an okay food, not the best, somewhere in the middle.

Richard asks…

Dog food poll time! What do you feed your dogs?

If you raw feed, do you feed BARF, Raw Prey Model, or other (please specify)?:
If you feed dog food, what brand do you feed?:
How does your dog food brand rate here ( http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/ )?:

I’m not going to discourage thumbs-ups and thumbs-downs because I feel that they help people realize whether or not they are feeding a good quality food.
